barrydarrdixonReflections...on projects past. This living room we designed was on the newsstands twenty years ago. I’ve always loved the strategic employment of a large scale mirror in a room, the way it allows a plain wall to become a portal to another dimension. Anything beautiful is worth seeing twice. Enjoy the weekend my friends, and spend some of your time reflecting. ✨

shelley_hodge_interiorsThe morning light in my kitchen just gets me every time ☀️ My treat to a hardworking week is a slow start to Friday’s. Coffee, intention, planning, just being before checking things off the to-do list before the weekend. ☀️
Flexible work schedule is everything as a business owner.

nataliiiadesignsdare i say the design concept of this kitchen is simply orgasmic? well it is. the daring blue cabinets are a standout and you just can’t go wrong with a waterfall countertop. for someone like me who spends a lot of time in the kitchen, this is simply a blue heaven.

One of your great dreams - which you tell me time and again - is to play the Brahms Double Concerto with your dear friend Peter when you grow up and are “a big celloman”. You see him every week in orchestra and you two often play little rifts across the sections to each other - one begins, the other picks it up, you play together and giggle until your conductor calls for quiet. After months of trying to make schedules work, you two finally had the afternoon to play together on your own and you must have both been equally excited about it because you played nonstop for 2 hours! You played suzuki songs and orchestra songs and a Piazzolla tune and then played little mini concerts for each other. I didn’t want to break the spell by taking videos but I asked you both if I could take one of Humoresque - because you have both talked about playing it together for so long - and of the Brandenburg because it is just such a fun piece to hear. When you went to bed that night, you talked about the Brahms piece again and I could hear in your voice that this small step of making music together today felt like a giant leap toward the dream in your heart. ❤️
